Pierce Porter Facilitation

Shelby Pierce she/her/hers, the owner of Pierce Porter Facilitation, is aTechnology of Participation (ToP) Facilitator and Apprentice Trainer. She helps groups and organizations that traditionally met in-person to create meaningful and productive online meetings. She has 10 years of experience in the financial services and healthcare sectors. Shelby has a rich background in community organizing and has served on the executive committee for several nonprofit boards. Taking her experience facilitating a variety of meetings across many different sectors, she now facilitates and produces both in person and online gatherings. She is passionate about supporting communities to move forward in life and business as we all forge new paths in this historic time.

Since the start of the worldwide pandemic, she has worked with over 40 different groups, ranging from local community initiatives and nonprofits, to nationwide groups including healthcare, city governments, education & training groups specializing in international student recruitment, and finally on an international level working on planning projects with colleagues from Dubai and Jordan.  She also teaches  a course for Sacramento State University and Cal Fresh Healthy Living on Tools and Tricks for Collaborative Online Meetings.

Shelby holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Urban Studies from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood Colorado.

Shelby is an “en-sioux-siast” residing in Sioux City, IA with her husband, Austin. Among many other things, she enjoys rollerskating, public radio and morel mushroom hunting.
