An established nonprofit tourist attraction key to its communities economic and community viability reached out. The organization had been in decline for several years. A change in board and a renewed interest in revitalizing the tourist attraction for the benefit of the community sparked a call to a Great Plains Facilitator. This group had been going in circles trying to decide what to do next, how to tackle some significant barriers to success. The Great Plains Facilitator worked with the group to develop a strategic planning workshop to create a shared practical vision and most importantly create a 90-day task based plan to start creating wins and momentum. This organization stated that upon completion of the workshop, “the abstract views of many became clear,” This organization left the workshop with hope and an accountable plan for a brighter future.
